China Glaze- Frostbite

Well this is China Glaze - Frostbite, a blue metallic shimmer, from the 2007 Ski Collection which has been a lemming of mine ever since Elodie over at Accro Polish swatched it a while back.

AHMAZINGGG!!!!! Exactly like I thought this polish was totally worth the money.  I thought it may look a little weird on me because I have such an olive skin tone but it still looks just as electric as it did on her. There is just nothing bad I can say about this polish, even down to the consistency and formula it was smooth and went on opaque with two coats although I did three here.

Don't you love it when you are just shopping around and you pick up a polish that looks interesting and you realize it is something you had actually already wanted it? Ahhh, well thats what happened with this lol I love that!

Well after I did my manicure I thought I should spice it up a little more and since I got a Konad Kit for easter I decided to try it out! I used the M3 plate, the four little stars, and stamped it with the special silver Konad polish on my ring fingers only.  For one of my first times I think it turned out pretty well!

I tried to konad over my last manicure (Love & Beauty- Olive) with the cheetah print on plate M57 but that didn't turn out too great. Pshhh whateverr, I like this one!

Love & Beauty- Olive

Love & Beauty is Forever 21's nail polish line and the last time I was there I picked this up.  Although I love green, this olive tone is something WAYY out of my comfort zone because as you guys know I hate reds, pinks, olives etc and I've been trying to break out of that..which is why I got it haha.

This is Love & Beauty- Olive

Sorry, I didn't really clean up too well..I did my nails in the dark haha. Anyways this polish was REALLY thin so this is only three coats and to be honest I wish I did a couple more.  I think Forever 21 got the name a little wrong, on the nail it comes out a little more like a dark gold/bronze.  Either way its a pretty color, definitely worth the $2.80 price tag!

Color Club- Sheer Disguise & OPI Shatter

I went kind of crazy the other day and bought a bunch of polishes :/ Hahha
-OPI Black Shatter, American Eagle (no name), China Glaze- Frostbite, Love & Beauty- Grey, Essie-Swing Velvet, Color Club-Sheer Disguise and Love & Beauty-Olive

The polish I'm showing today is part of the Color Club Alter Ego Collection: Reveal Your Mystery which was released this spring.  This is Sheer Disguise, a pastel cream blue which is laced with tons of grey undertones.  I used three coats for this manicure because the formula was a bit watery, but built fine with a few coats.

I love this color, out of the whole spring collection it may be my favorite but I'm really looking forward to also buying Revealed and Incognito (Check out a full review of this collection by Also Known As...)

So I finally cracked (no pun intended) and bought the OPI Black Shatter.  Here I just put it over my existing manicure and I have to say it was pretty scary when I put it on haha. You paint the black over your freshly painted nails and hope you don't ruin all your hard work lol. Anyways for my first time using the shatter I think I did a pretty good job, I heard it usually takes some practice to figure out how to do it but I think it paid off that I waited to buy it so I could see others reviews on it and hear their tips.

One thing I didn't really like was the fact that the polish gets SUPER SUPER gloopy after a use or two..I really need to invest in some polish thinner :/

H&M- Envy Me

Hi! Today I have one of the last polishes that I have not swatched from the swap I did with Elodie over at Accro Polish.  This is Envy Me by H&M.

This color is to die for, although my short ass nubs (no idea why they look like that) don't do it justice.  As you know from my Kreativ Blogger post green is my all time favorite color and polishes like this are why.  This is such a rich, sparkly (micro shimmer), deep, amazing color which I asked Elodie for specifically when we swapped.  So here's the deal, it was a great consistency, obviously the huge top made it harder to hold the brush but only minor difficulties. This color went on great with two coats and left no balding spots or anything.  Really, because im a pessimist, I have to not SOMETHING wrong with this polish. That flaw would be that (as you can see) it did create tons of skin stain that really didn't come out even after I cleaned up =(

Thats all for now but one last question, What is another H&M polish I should own? I currently have this one, Spending Cash With Carl (also compliments of Elodie) and Dazzling Nude that I just bought today!

***Just a reminder, I am having a relatively small giveaway when I reach 50 followers which is only 4 MORE so please if you want a chance of winning something tell you friends about my blog or add me to your blog roll etc!!! Thanks so much guys*****

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Stickers- 'Frock Star'

Ahh Sally Hansen, how disappointing. This is Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Stickers in 'Frock Star'.

Okay, here's the deal..I have been saving this product for MONTHS because I thought it was THE BEST thing that has happened to my life thus far.  I remember around Christmas time Selena Gomez tweeted (I know, I'm embarrassed. Don't say anything hahah) this picture of her nails and after much research I've come to believe that its Deborah Lippmann's- Happy Birthday because at this time there really wasn't many polishes that had the multi color hexagonal glitter like this.

Anyways, this was the closest thing I could find to the $18 Lippmann polish so I snatched it up (even though come to think of it $10 is not that good of a deal either).  I wanted to save it for a really special occasion so about two weeks ago Kid Cudi came to play a show at my college and I thought it would be the perfect time to wear it.  Ugh, although the show was AMAZING, these nail stickers were not. As you can see in most of my pictures they were not that sticky, peeling on the sides of the sticker.  Secondly the instructions say that you can just fold the sticker over the nail, crease it a little and then use the file they gave you and just file away the excess. Let me tell you, according to my experience that is so not true.  The stickers ripped and pealed and made the tips of my nails look horrendous.

All in all, unless I win another one of these kits or somebody just wants to give another pattern to me for some odd reason I will not be buying them ever again. EVER. Ugh Sally Hansen, how depressing =(

I have a very specific question, has anybody else tried the 'Frock Star' pattern of these nail stickers? I need to know if I'm just a spaz or do they really just not live up to the hype?

Wet n Wild- Blue Moon

Good morning! This is a great day..one, because its saturday and two because I am posting about my first navy =)

This polish is Wet n Wild- Blue Moon.

I have a few Wet n Wild polishes and this one is my absolute favorite! This is such a rich, deep blue with a light blue micro glitter.  This polish as well as many other Wet n Wild polishes are only about .99 cents  which is a STEAL for such great quality. This was only 2 coats which was perfectly fine with me but it did leave few bald spots, nothing too bad. I wore this polish for about a full week I believe and I didn't even want to take it off but I had more polishes to try haha!

Alrightyy who likes this as much as I do??!

Kreativ Blogger Award

Well hey! So technically I wasn't tagged in this award but Stephanie over at Short 'n Chic tagged anybody who wanted to do it themselves so I decided it would be a great way for my followers to get to know me a little better since I'm still pretty new to blogging.

So the rules seem to just be share 10 facts about myself, so here we go.

1. I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and have never moved once (except to go to college).

2. I am a devout fan of anything green, it is my absolute favorite color ever.  When I was a teenager my favorite color was clear because I couldn't decide hahah. I was odd back then lol

3. My two best friends are my older sister Jenna and my cousin Karen =)
Me and my sister, Jenna.

Me and my cousin, Karen.

4. I know I have mentioned this numerous times in my posts but I am in a sorority, Theta Phi Alpha, and my sisters are legitimately my whole world (especially my two littles!).

5. I have a dog named Alley (beagle/terrier mix), I got her as my 13th birthday present and she is freakin insane but soooo cute!!

Everybody says that but then they add "oh, except for country, or techno, or anything that screams at me" bla bla bla..when I say I like all types of music, I mean it.  I can go from liking Ke$ha to Atreyu to Envy on the Coast to Carrie Underwood to Dierks Bently (hottie!) to Basshunter to Adele etc. you get the point lol.

7. I've always wanted to learn how to skate board, since I am a scardie cat I live vicariously through the T.V. show Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory.

Essie- Peach Daiquiri

My suitemate kindly picked this polish out for me at target a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it!

This is Essie- Peach Daiquiri

This polish is a coral that leans slightly red in most lights.  As with most Essie polishes, it was a little watery and thin but I've become expectant of that.  There isn't really much to say about this polish, even from the one picture you can just see how amazing it is.  I would say this is one of the polishes I will be wearing a lot this summer, it just looks so perfect on a sunny day and with a tan (which I will have soon hahah).

Do any of you have your one go to color for the summer? What are they?!

OPI- Diva of Geneva

Good morning!! Here I am again with OPI's Diva of Geneva, another polish from the OPI Swiss Collex. It's a purple shimmer with a red base.  I've gotta tell you that I really didn't care for this color..its been on my lemmings list for a while but now that I have it and since I've tried it, it's not that great.

Oh my gosh guys, I know this is a crappy picture..all of the other pictures I took the polish turned out red (because of the red base obvs) and I had to capture this while I could, making it blurry.  I'm just not a big fan of this polish, its too close to pink for my liking, I thought it would be a little deeper of a color AND because it stained my skin like crazy as you can see. =(  I think ill try it again sometime in the near future to see if I warm up to it.

OPI- Cuckoo For This Color

Well hello everyonee,  IM BACKKKK!!!!! I know you were missing me..SOO, I decided to come back with a bang. This is such an amazing color =)

This is called Cuckoo For This Color by OPI

This polish is from the OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010.  I found this polish at CVS over Easter break from school and I just had to get it.  I also bought OPI Diva of Geneva which I will post next, along with  Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Crushed and Purple Pizzazz =) All in all a very good trip if I do say so myself! This is a blue/teal color with a black undertone.  For this manicure I didn't use any BC, I really don't at all anymore with any of my mani's, they just seem to say in tact for longer this way.

The consistency of this polish was superbbb, nothing I can complain about..NOTHING.

Do any of you have anything from the Swiss Collex? How do you like this polish?

Hiatus

Hey guys, so school is currently kicking my ass and I am going to need to go on hiatus for the last week of finals.  I'll be back up and running Wed. May 11th so don't worry..its not too long. I'm going to leave you guys with a quick post for today.

Here is Essie Merino Cool

Artificial Light

Sunlight

This polish is a taupe/purple mix leaning more purple. Yeah, I realize they look completely different but thats what's so cool about this polish, it always looks different.  This has been a lemming of mine for FOREVER and it definitely lived up to my expectations.  It was a little thick but a little polish thinner would have fixed that right away, I believe its also because I bought this polish after Essie was bought over by a different company and they just do not make the best quality polish anymore =(

How do you like it?!!
