Ulta- Bombshell

Here is a swatch of Ulta Bombshell that I got from my Ulta Haul this winter.

In reality this polish is a berryish jellyish color, a little more pink than the picture shows but I just couldn't seem to capture that. Anywhoo, I hate this color. This is three coats and a TC.  Since there are holographic giltters within and since I did 3 coats it dried very gritty, even with two coats of TC. I'm not sure why I hate it so much but its just not my cup of tea. The application was pretty good otherwise, it stained my skin a little though.

Do any of you have this polish? Other bloggers seem to love it, do you?

Brucci- Emmi and Olli go Bananas

So hey guys, I'm over the moon.  I'm not sure if any of you follow 'Also Known As...' but she is a great blogger who just had her 2,000 follower giveaway in which she had 6 different prizes.  Lucky me was one of the winners!!! I am so excited, I'm getting two of Claires mood changing nail polishes, an EOS chapstick and a Milani nail art kit. I will definitely let you know right when I get them and obviously I will swatch them.

For the manicure I am showing you today I used Brucci Emmi and Olli go Bananas and Essie Aruba Blue.

The reason I did this manicure is because this past weekend my school had our "Greek Weekend".  The colors of my sorority (Theta Phi Alpha) are Silver, Gold and Blue but most of the time we use yellow instead of gold.  On saturday we had our annual Greek Olympics where all the sororities and fraternities participate in field activities such as kickball, tug of war, water-balloon toss etc and so I did this mani to show my spirit =)

I did three coats of the Brucci yellow polish which was a little on the thick side so it took some finagling to get it looking good. Then I used the little curved side of a revlon cuticle pusher, dipped it in the Essie polish and then just made little dots, very very easy. I think the mani turned out pretty well, I got so many compliments on it!

Barielle Decadence

I'm going to show you a polish today that I got from my Ulta haul a while back. This one is called Decadence and its by Barielle.

This polish is a very true teal (it looks very blue in these pictures, I will try and post some new pictures soon) with an 'in your face' shimmer.  The application was ahhhmazinggg.  Can I just tell you every nail polish company should take tips from Barielle because the brush was one of the best brushes I've ever used.  The polish just glided on my nails, not too watery an definitely not too thick.  Although its not the same color at all the application kind of reminds me of Sephora's Mermaid To Order. (I blogged about it here) This polish dried extra shiny which was definitely a plus but I still added Icing's No Chip Top Coat-which works wonders!!

okayy well back to paying attention in class hahah..whoops.

French Manicureeee

Not to toot my own horn but I think I did a pretty amazing job with this manicure. I have never done any if you could call it 'nail art' so considering this was my first time it came out pretty spectacular.

I used a trio of polishes that came from ELF cosmetics.  It is a french manicure kit that comes with a clear, a white and a nude polish. Here's a picture of the package...

and here is the swatch picturess...

Okay I'm sorry but I just can't get enough.  I am so proud of myself for doing such a great job ahaha. The whole kit only cost me about $3 about 2 years ago when ELF was supposedly changing their packaging and made everything super cheap.  As many of you know, ELF is still super cheap even with the new packaging and for that I have to say that the quality was pretty darn good. The polish as I said was pretty old but still worked perfectly, no thickening or anything of that sort.

I guess you could say I cheated a little, I painted the white first (after I added the BC) which was sort of messy and then I cleaned it up with a little ELF eyeliner brush and some nail polish remover.  Then I painted the nude and topped it off with the clear TC from the trio.  I don't really care if I cheated or not, It looks bangin hahahah.

Hope ya like it as much as I do!

Revlon-Perplex

hello ladiess!

I've got a quick post for you tonight and more to come I swear!

Today I will show you a polish I just recently got that most of you probably know.. Revlon Perplex.

*flash
*no flash
Well helloo Revlon..you finally got it right =) Obviously we all know this is a great dupe for Chanel Paradoxal.  Chanel is known to be crazy expensive so this is a perfect counter for that.  This polish is a purple/blue cream.  In light or if you look really close you can see the purple/pink shimmer that is shown in my first picture and in the shade the polish just looks like a purple/blueish flat cream.

All I can say is this polish is amazing and you WILL NOT be disappointed if and when you buy it. My favorite Revlon polish yet.

nightt!

Finally, the good stuff!

Here we go guys, finally some swap swatches!!

First up we have Catrice Clay-ton My hero!

This polish is a light beige/green polish that has a tan micro shimmer which makes it lean a bit more brown.  This is the first time I have ever used this brand before and I have to say I really like it, great quality and consistency.  The color is subtle subdued perfect when you want something toned down or when you are doing something where you have to be professional.

Next, here is Mavala Bronze Green.

Love love love love. Green is my favorite color which makes me like this polish even more.  The consistency however was pretty thick making application very hard but I got through it (after a few chosen words were said haha) I asked for this polish specifically after seeing another blogger swatch it and besides from the consistency I like everything about it!

Last for the day is H&M Spending Cash With Carl.

Such a cute name isn't it!? Anyways, can you say ELECTRIC BLUE? This was such a vibrant color, definitely something I wasn't expecting from the bottle. The consistency was as expected (great) and application was also as expected. Only a few downsides, this polish chipped VERY quickly, like one day quickly and there was slight staining even after using a BC.

Okay well thats it for now, ill swatch more of the swap polishes a little later in the week =)

Random Swatches

Im behind..like WAYY behind. Today I will show you my St. Patty's Day manicure and the manicure I did for my university's Relay For Life. This will be just a little quick post, nothing too crazy.

For my St. Patty's day mani I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear polish in Going Green.

Perfect consistency, formula, everything. I love this polish and this color...I will use this EVERY St. Patty's day. It's just great.

Here is the mani I did for my schools Relay For Life (the color for Relay is purple). I used Nicole by OPI (justin bieber collection) One Less Lonely Glitter layered over Piggy Polish Wild Side.

The piggy polish went on really sheer, I had to do three coats to make it somewhat opaque. Then I used two coats of the Justin Bieber polish over it.  The Bieber polish dried VERY coarse so it defiantly needs a TC.

So there ya go, I know I'm late but I just really wanted to show you because I just love both of these =) More posts this weekend hopefully!!
