Color Club-Catwalk Queen

How amazing is this color? CC- Catwalk Queen is a vampy dark purple with TONS of sparkle as you can see in the up close bottle picture I posted. This is definitely my favorite Color Club that I own and this is for two reasons..1 obviously because of the gorgeous color and 2 because of the formula/application. This polish was opaque in 2 moderately thick coats and clean up was very easy.

I bought this polish at Bed Bath & Beyond for $3.50 and that day I also bought Color Club- Wild and Willing which is an orange-ish sparkly color and I can't wait to show you guys!

Confetti- Belle of the Ball

Confetti- Belle of the Ball

I got this polish from CVS a while back for no reason what-so-ever. It's been sitting in my stash for a while just collecting dust and the other day I finally decided to break it out.  Boy have I been missing out!! I'm not sure if its just the color but my nails look clean, long and healthy so I can't complain! Confetti is a kind of unheard of brand which I've only seen in CVS so far and its priced at $1.99. The colors are pretty plain, nothing that I haven't seen before in other brands but the formula and consistency kind of made up for that. Shown here is three coats but you totally didn't need it. As a cream you would think that the application would be a pain in the ass but it was just the opposite, just a dream to apply.

Are there any other Confetti's I need to have?

Random Swatches

Im behind..like WAYY behind. Today I will show you my St. Patty's Day manicure and the manicure I did for my university's Relay For Life. This will be just a little quick post, nothing too crazy.

For my St. Patty's day mani I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear polish in Going Green.

Perfect consistency, formula, everything. I love this polish and this color...I will use this EVERY St. Patty's day. It's just great.

Here is the mani I did for my schools Relay For Life (the color for Relay is purple). I used Nicole by OPI (justin bieber collection) One Less Lonely Glitter layered over Piggy Polish Wild Side.

The piggy polish went on really sheer, I had to do three coats to make it somewhat opaque. Then I used two coats of the Justin Bieber polish over it.  The Bieber polish dried VERY coarse so it defiantly needs a TC.

So there ya go, I know I'm late but I just really wanted to show you because I just love both of these =) More posts this weekend hopefully!!

GLORIOUS!

Two more posts after this and I'm totally caught up with my backlog! I'm feeling so efficient over this break..I wrote a paper, went to numerous Dr. appts., bought TONS of polish (I literally thought three polishes would be enough for one week at home..but no, I bought about 20 more since I have been home shopping for my swap! Its a sickness!!) and logged some time with my besties..I'm a beast. GROWL.

This polish today is Periwinkle by Petites Color Fever.

Yeah I know, the last picture quality is like really really really bad but i wanted you to get a close up look (I've finally figured out the art of taking a good picture so hopefully no more bad pictures!).  Well ok so this polish, like I said in my post about Vintage Gray (here) had such a better application than the gray so I was really excited about using it.  This is one of the only three polishes I took home for my spring break..that must say something, its one of my fav's.  It went on silky smooth, I used three coats just because I like the color after it gets extra saturated, it comes out bluer if that's a word haha.  I again used the NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat over it.  This one and only bad thing about this polish is that it chipped after like a day and a shower. I think I need to try doing thinner coats, maybe that will help. Hmm..w/e. Rite Aid- $3.99 (expensive for .25 fl oz I think, but worth it).

Woah, okay so I'm watching Pretty Little Liars right now and 1. Aria was texting her teacher/boyfriend and obviously I was looking at her nail polish and it was this pretty blue color when the frame was set wide, and then 2. When they zoomed in on her texting, HER NAILS WERE A DIFFERENT COLOR..and guess what..it totally looked like a dupe for this exact polish I'm posting about!! how funny!

Okay, to bed I go..night!

Ulta Haul!!

Hey guys, this is going to be a non-swatch post but I just so so excited and wanted to show you all of the new polishes I bought today from my local Ulta!

Here we go:
Left to Right: Bombshell by Ulta, Iris upon Stars by Piggy Polish, Aruba Blue by Essie, OPI Ink by OPI, One Less Lonely Glitter by Nicole (by OPI), Elle's Spell by Barielle and Decadence by Barielle

First off we have Bombshell by Ulta. It's a bright red jelly with holo glitter throughout. From what I have tested, it seems to lean pink. Clearance for $2.99

Second is Iris Upon Stars by Piggy Polish. It's a very vibrant purple with the SLIGHTEST bit of pink sparkle in it, almost too slight for the eye to see! It even comes with a toe ring =) $7.50

Third is Aruba Blue by Essie. It has a dark navy base with light blue shimmer.  The polish reminds me of a sapphire. You know what makes it even better? I just found out that this is the polish that Emily Blunt wears throughout most of the movie The Devil Wears Prada AND the polish that tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) wears most of the episodes of Glee! $8.00

Fourth is OPI Ink by OPI. This polish is an AMAZING mix of blue and purple lacquer with pink micro-glitter throughout.  It is from the OPI Night Brights Collection. $8.50

Fifth is One Less Lonely Glitter by Nicole by OPI. This polish is a very dense purple glitter set in an almost sheer purple base. Covers pretty fully in 2 coats, although I would do three. $7.99

Sixth is Elle's Spell by Barielle.  Its a flaky red jelly polish which came out for Holiday 2010.  I CANNOT wait to try this polish, its been on my lemmings list since I've made one and i finally got it..on clearance! $2.99

Last but not least is Decadence by Barielle.  It is a teal with a shimmery finish from the Sugar Rush Collection.

I hope you like my new polishes...posts on them soon to come!! ...Off to write a paper, byee!!

Firsts

Today is just full of firsts for me..it was my first day of classes as a second semester Junior.  How crazy is that? I am almost three quarters of the way through my undergraduate college experience..I'm scaring myself out just talking about it! Although college is NOTHING like I thought it would be, I can honestly say that its only different, not worse than expected.  I really wish I would have gone to a bigger school (which was the last thing on my mind while applying) but I guess that just shows how much I've changed throughout these three years.  My friends from home (that go to college at home) keep telling me that I've changed since I've gone away but I don't understand why they see it as a bad thing. We all need to grow up sometime... don't we?  Well anyways, today it was also my first time using a certain polish that should have been on my wish list because its amazing and a half, Tease-y Does It by O.P.I.

Now here's the thing... It seems purple in the pictures right?... well not according to my nails it doesn't.  It looks more like the second picture (VERY BAD quality, I realize, but it was the only picture that captured the real color).  It is a very dark brown base color with flecks of red sparkles in it in some lights and as you can tell in artificial lights it looks very purple..I honestly like both so it really doesn't matter to me ( I bought it with the intentions of it being more red though).  I wouldn't suggest this to people who are looking for purple polishes though because it only looks like that very rarely.

As with all O.P.I's (considering the price is a steep $8.50) you expect the application to be nothing but perfect and I have to say it was (and extra score, I found this one on clearance for $2.99 at Ulta).  I love using new polishes because you don't have to stick the brush far into the bottle to get WADS of lacquer, which makes application that much easier and clean- less lumpy.

okayy well I'm off to a night of movie watching and junk food eating with my suite-mates!! Have a good week =)
