The time has come.

So I'm sure this is the post you have all been waiting for...and the one I have been dreading.  Unfortunately I'm sure everyone has noticed that I haven't been putting any of my time towards blogging anymore.  It's definitely not because I no longer paint my nails (because believe me I do it more than ever), it's just because I believe blogging is supposed to be a fun hobby and it just wasn't that anymore.

I realize I still have some products that were sent to me to review that I will eventually get around to posting about but from now on this blog is no longer active. I can't say I will never post again on this blog, but it will only be when I really like a polish and want to show you guys or if I have the time..it will no longer be somewhere where I will post on a daily basis.

I just want to thank everyone who has followed me throughout my 10 months of blogging. I really did have an amazing positive experience blogging with all of you and I can definitely say I have made great friends and acquaintances because of my blog.

Finally I want to just show my gratitude to my followers one last time by having a final giveaway, My "Farewell Giveaway". Keep your eyes open for a post about this giveaway within a month or so while I shop for a few extra items.

Thanks again everyone, this was really a great experience =)

Pop Beauty-Turquoise + Konad

Hey guys, so I decided my plain Turquoise mani was too plain so I added a konad accent nail of a zebra print. I used the special konad white polish for the design and plate m57. Then I matte-ified it using Hard Candy's Matte nail polish (forgot the name) which as I said in my last post you can get at Walmart for $4. Hope everyone likes the little touch I added..another pop polish coming next post!

POP Beauty-Turquoise

Today I have for you POP Beauty- Turquoise that I got at ULTA. I actually got it for free along with POP Beauty- Punk'd. I had bought Essie Matte about Me a while back at ULTA, never used it, and then found Hard Candy's Matte polish for only $4 (Versus $10 for the Essie) so I went to ULTA to return it and picked up these pop beauties which normally retail for $10 but they were on sale buy one get one free! Now let me warn you, I'm not sure why the color didn't transfer correctly to the camera but this is a lighter more green turquoise than the blueish color that you see in the pictures. I'll try to get more accurate pictures to you guys soon.

BTW, loved the consistancy...if I new the formula was so good I would have definitely spent the $10 earlier =) Shown here is three coats plus a TC.

Pure Ice-Purple Reign

Quick post today. This is Pure Ice- Purple Reign which is sold at Walmart (where I got this one) and more recently Walgreens. In the pictures this polish looks like a hot mess and I'm sorry for that but you really just need to trust me, go out and buy this polish now. The application was nothing to complain about but the color is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I hate pinks and although this polish is mainly purple it can lean pink at times and I'm telling you I still loved it. It has the prettiest gold (or light pink I can't decide) sparkle that just makes you want to look at your nails all. day. long. Ah-mazing.

Shown here is three coats.

Borghese- Euro Green

Hey girls! Today I'm showing you my first Borghese polish called Euro Green which is a bronzed olive green. I really love this color, I don't know how well it looks with my skin tone but I don't care hahah. The application was really great, I'm not sure if its just this brand all together or this color but the consistency was so good I'm already looking at other colors to buy! This was a pretty sheer polish but it REALLY built nicely, shown here is three coats.

On a different non polish note, I got my hair cut on Friday...do ya'll like it?!

Essie- Mint Candy Apple

I don't know why I never got around to buying this polish sooner, it seems to be a staple in every addicts stash..and if you're lucky its the first version! Obviously since I just bought this polish about a week ago its unfortunately not the 1st version which I would have loved to get but its still a great polish. Mint Candy Apple is a mint (duh) green/blue cream with no shimmer or sparkle what so ever. The application was only so-so which made me kind of disappointed.. it was a little too thick for my liking.

I bought this polish at ULTA for $8 and I've come to ONLY buy my Essie polishes from ULTA because they still carry the old engraved better quality bottles which to me is a score...usually means better quality polish too.

Nicole by OPI- Green Up Your Act!

I have a love hate relationship with this polish, it looked so good when other people swatched it but when I used it, it just kind of fell flat on me. The weird thing is that looking back on these pictures, IT LOOKS SO GOOD and I'm questioning why I didn't like it in the first place! Anyway, asides from the color the application was no problem at all.  I used three coats here, the last one being pretty thick. I bought this polish at Target for $7.50 but I had a $5 Target gift card and a $1 Nicole by OPI coupon so it was only about $1 and change.  I'm glad I didn't spend too much money on this polish because it wouldn't have been worth it unfortunately =(

How about you guys? Do you like it?

Color Club-Catwalk Queen

How amazing is this color? CC- Catwalk Queen is a vampy dark purple with TONS of sparkle as you can see in the up close bottle picture I posted. This is definitely my favorite Color Club that I own and this is for two reasons..1 obviously because of the gorgeous color and 2 because of the formula/application. This polish was opaque in 2 moderately thick coats and clean up was very easy.

I bought this polish at Bed Bath & Beyond for $3.50 and that day I also bought Color Club- Wild and Willing which is an orange-ish sparkly color and I can't wait to show you guys!

Cult Nails- Living Water

Oh my gosh. Living Water took my breath away. As many of us know, Cult Nails was created by a fellow blogger Maria from R3 Daily and boy has her company really taken off..she just released her fall collection named Hypnotic with four great polishes! Anyways, around the 4th of July Maria had a Independence day sale where all of her polishes were $7.40 for that weekend. Before the sale I had seen some of my favorite nail bloggers swatching Cult Nails colors and I always wanted them but $10 for a nail polish + shipping just seemed out of my reach so I never bought any so when this sale came around I just had to take the leap. I decided to only buy one polish then because lets get real, I'm a struggling college student and thats all I could afford. It was a toss up between Living Water and Iconic (I really wanted Cruisin Nude and Captivated but they were sold out =[ ). I finally decided on Living Water and totally could not wait to get my hands on it.

When I got the polish it was packed so cute, with cotton balls and wrapped in this cool paper (shown in first picture). The application was really good and after reading what it felt like 100+ reviews I expected no less. I loved the polish even more in person because if you couldn't tell by now the blackened effect is my absolute fav. and I wore it for about 4 days (I only took it off because it started chipping lol) I would have loved for the aqua sparkles to be more prominent but what can you do, its not my decision! For these pictures I used three coats.

I will DEFINITELY buy another Cult Nails polish without question. LOVE ITT!!

Maria sells her Cult Nail polish here: http://www.cultnails.com/

Happy shopping!!

Finger Paints-Gallery Glam + Wet n Wild- Rain Check

Well okay so I was really hating the Finger Paints polish alone so I had to do something to make it look better. I had just bought Wet n Wild- Rain Check the day before so I figured why not, lets see how this looks layered. Although in my opinion it made it look better, it still looked kind of 'off' (sorry about the pictures, I did this mani quick before I went to work). I probably won't be doing this duo again but I can't wait to use this polish alone. I'm thinking it will probably take a few coats to get it opaque but I really think it will be worth it!

Has anyone else used this Wet n Wild before? How does it look alone?

Finger Paints-Gallery Glam

Gallery Glam by Finger Paints is a dark navy blue with a slight shimmer finish. This was my first Finger Paints and I got it at Sallys on clearance but for how much I don't quite remember. I was really excited about this color, in the bottle it looks more like a duochrome purple/blue leaning more purple and I really wanted that to transfer on the nail. Unfortunately it really didn't look like that at all, it turned out pretty ugly actually. I took these pictures with a flash so the blue was really brought out but in normal lighting it looked like a weird un-pure murky black. Also, the brush on my polish had a stray hair on it which made the application soo hard. Stupid me tried pulling the hair out and that just created more problems but I finally got it out and the brush worked fine after that. I think I'll try this polish again in a while because I'm not ready to write it off just yet but my hopes aren't high.
